Nice weekend

Sitting here in our hotel room just relaxin :) Deb is flipping thru an Ikea catalog, Shawna is reading her book and Holly is watchin tv. Ahhhhhh... We did Ikea all day today - our feet were ready for us all to take a seat. We ended up at Chili's for dinner and back here to chill out. We may stop back at Ikea tomorrow, then head for the few hour drive home. A nice weekend for sure!

Them Animals...

We went to the ZOO! We had fun... Jack asked for a dollar here and there for things like feeding the birds or seeing the sting rays up close only to hear "no" each time - but when I sprang $10 for him and Mikie to ride on a camel? Priceless.

Tennis Anyone?

we went over to the high school yesterday morning for the boys to play tennis. RARE! erk and i used their rackets too and had fun hitting the ball around. we'll have to pick some up for us all to play. fun stuff - fun way to chill out as a fam :)

Last Game

Dear Mr. A-Hole who claims Mikie was "picking on your son all night" and your son finally shoved Mike, causing Mike to do a faceplant on the cement in the dugout and cry. To you I'd like to say a few choice words. But at the time, I didn't... I just stood there with a smile and acted like it rolled off my back. Well, honestly? It didn't.

Mike?

Mike terrorizing your poor helpless boy who was pampered with back rubs and his own batting helmet, two batting gloves, his very own bat and other special gear all t-ball season? Did you know it was t-ball? Not the majors? Did you notice your son climb the fence like any of the other 5 and 6 year old boys?

Well I'm here to tell ya... I didn't appreciate your son shoving Mike down to the ground and leaving him there, not apologizing or trying to help him up. And your comments about how your son basically 'put up with it all night' and after telling Mike repeatedly to stop, shoved him to a faceplant? Lemme just say {Rascal Flatts lookin dude}, you're fortunate I didn't tell Erk until after the game when we were almost to the truck. He wouldn't of minded telling you what he thought about it... and lucky for you you didn't park by us.

Good evening! Erk just dozed off in the chair - what an old man! We are headed out soon to the boys last tball game of the season. The kids have enjoyed (I'm sure) a day at Nanny and Papa's and we'll meet them at the game. Wha-who! Wonder how we'll celebrate for a snack at the game tonight? Ice cream? :)

The Kids New Rooms

And Mr. Mike in his same room as always, but now it's his. Although all of the toys are pretty much in there, so his room will be a free for all. He doesn't mind :)

2 legs

Hello! It's Tuesday although it feels like a Monday. Probably cause Erk took yesterday off. It was a fab day yesterday with a trip to Lowe's, lunch out at a taco joint with great burritos and then to Kohl's for some new home goods. I'll have to snap some new pictures to show you even more changes happenin here. We got new bedding for our bed and some cute throw pillows. Moved an armoire that's been hiding in our office with all of my business stuff in it - moved it into the "den" as we call it now and put our tv in it. Got some slip covers for the chairs we had (Mol already peed on one of our new covers this morning!) and some other fun stuff. WOW, this SO fun and so rewarding, lemme tell ya. I love our house all over again! It feels great :)

The boys started tennis lessons yesterday morning - they will have them 3 mornings a week for 3 weeks. So far, super fun. Both of them seemed to truly enjoy it. Their coach has a prosthetic leg. Way cool that she coaches tennis. There I sit on my butt on the bleachers with 2 legs and she runs around with the kids with one!

I suppose that's about it. Ohh, my laptop pooped out yesterday and I about had a heart attack... but the local computer place (if you can get past the smokey dingy smell in there) fixed me up for $30! I'm so thankful!

our new bedroom!!!!!!! i can't believe it - here i sit on my laptop in our "new" room! the family room has been transformed in one afternoon. i painted today while erk helped the neighbor "smoke meat" for a family gathering they were having. i love the blue!!

the dining room which is now what we call the "den" :) it's got the family room furniture and it fits just fine. a very nice space!

What a weekend! A fun one for sure - especially today with all of its activities. We went down to "festival" and enjoyed the sights and smells. We were all pretty hungry by the time we got there and found a parking spot. The boys opted for a footlong hotdog. Erk had some egg roll thingy, we stopped to watch some live music and then walked on to find these italian sausage sandwiches. Mmmm, it was delish. Mol didn't care for it much, but had some of the bun.
