Busy, Nice Weekend

I'm standing in the kitchen with my laptop on our buffet and Miss Mol is standing next to me on a chair. This kid is resourceful! She moves this chair around the kitchen to see what she can get into!

We've had a very nice weekend - starting out with Friday night - going out for a nice dinner with Jay and Shawna to celebrate the launching (and begininng success) of our website. It was wonderful to get out, just the 4 of us. It's been a while! Shawna and I each wore our tall black boots, which we call "hooker boots" :) and had fun gettin' dressed up.

Yesterday morning, we were woken with the sound of Jack calling "Mom!" after puking. He proceeded to throw up a few more times and we decided it'd be best for Erk and Jack to stay home from Grandma's surprise party. So Mikie, Mol and I headed out just after 11a to her shindig. She was truly surprised! It was great to sit and visit with all the family, we don't get to see each other very often.

I got to quick squeeze in a cup of coffee (or hot cocoa in my case) with some friends yesterday morning before the party, and on my way I passed something I will probably never again see in all my life. The Oscar Meyer "weinie" vehicle (never seen it before) PULLED over by a COP on the highway! Wish I had my camera for that one!

Then after the party yesterday, Meg and Tony stopped over for a visit so it was good Erk and Jack got to see them. They came for Grandma's party, so that was nice.

Now we are headed to Erk's folks for dinner. Erk went over to mom and dad's to pick up a freezer they've had hanging out in their garage for a looong time they never use! I'm sure we can put it to good use, it'll be nice to have an extra place to store meat, bread, etc! Have a great Sunday nite!
