(it was a) Happy Mother's Day
I have had plenty of rest today... thanks to my hubby who let me go back to bed this morning after the numerous early morning wake up calls. The boys, Molly, Rocky whining to go out at 6:54am (roughly). I get up and half out of it yell down to Jack to let "the dogs" out. You know what his reply was? "You are up, you do it!" WHAT?! It's freakin not even 7am on Mother's Day and I get tude already!? Let's just say he did let the dogs out and I'm glad I got a few extra minutes of peace and quiet :)
Erk had made reservations for lunch out at 11:15am so that was nice. Nice to share good solid family time. You know, we are typically camping on this weekend. But not this year, and that's fine - we woulda frozen our butts off.
After lunch we came home and all took naps (I know, like I said, well rested) and then headed to Nanny and Papa's to see Meg and Tony (so great to see them today, nice of them to surprise Mom!) and Nanny and Papa Loo are in town for a few days. Great to see everyone for a few minutes then on home we came so Erk could watch Indiana Jones with the boys (they've been begging all weekend) and I got some cleaning done. Yep, a showing in the mornin. Such is the life of a house for saler :)
I hope you had a truly blessed Mother's Day! As much as I declare it a Hallmark holiday, I do appreciate my kids and hubby making extra efforts to show me they like me a little :)

Today
We've been chattin' about heading to this place, so today... we did. 2 hours of crazy kids everywhere! Mol was pretty tired so she hung close to me (which was good).
she doesn't even have her permit!?
Hey all! Here Mikie stands eating us outta house and home. "I'm hungry!" he always says. Sheesh, what will it be like when he's older!?
We have done a lot today, but it's only 3:30pm?! I guess when the boys brag that their day began at 5:57am, it's easy to see how it's only 3:30pm. We drove out to the "big mall" and walked around, rode the carousel, debating seeing a movie but opted not to. We ate lunch at the mall and walked some more, then headed over to the play area you see above. It was a fun morning/day. Erk is volunteering at the big race downtown so he's outta pocket. The weather wasn't the best for all of those runners! Like 40 degrees and raining. Yuck.
One of the stores we stopped in at the mall was Old Navy - a FAV of mine. Jack had gotten lunch all over his shirt so we grabbed him a new one. We all ended up with new shirts. The boys picked out Molly's Toy Story shirt (as seen above) - rare!
Ohh, now Bean and Rocky are egging each other on. Rock is here this weekend and for the next 2. Just Friday thru Sunday afternoon. He's sucha good boy! I suppose I'd better see if there is any food left for dinner? Perhaps Mikie got into the freezer too! :)

CUTE words from the mouths of babes...
Jack was so excited to tell me about his buddy at school. “Jared’s mom is having a baby!” he said so proudly in the truck as we drove home from Granny and Grampa’s house last night. “Jared didn’t act excited, but I’m sure he is happy in his heart.”
The other night we were driving to the boys’ t-ball game and Molly starts saying “my boobies!” I said, “Mol, just keep your boobies covered, ok?” and Jack says, “isn’t that what a bra is for?” I told him it was. Mikie pipes in, “I thought… I thought it was to make sure they don’t touch your belly.”
“dorry Momma, dorry.” She says in her cute lil’ voice. Mol had spilled her apple juice on the table. “dorry Momma, I not do it again.”
